Kroger Signs On for New DC

Los Angeles, Aformer brownfield site near Los Angeles will house a 552,000-sq.-ft. distribution center for two Kroger divisions, according to a commercial real estate information company.

CoStar Group reported on its Web site that Kroger has signed a $207 million lease deal for the warehouse and distribution center in Paramount. Kroger's Ralphs and Food 4 Less units will use the site as a logistics hub to serve their 369 California stores, according to CoStar.

The center is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2008.
