Kroger, Mich. union reach tentative deal
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Kroger has reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with the local union representing about 900 workers at Kroger stores in mid-Michigan.
The United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 951 announced today that it has reached a tentative agreement with Kroger that will expire October 2011. The current contract was set to expire in October this year.
The new agreement will include the same health care enhancements incorporated into the contract reached between Kroger and UFCW Local 876, which also represents Kroger workers in Michigan.
