Kroger expands specialty cheese selection

CINCINNATI The Kroger Co. today announced it has entered into an agreement with Murray's Cheese, based in New York City, to expand Kroger's specialty cheese program.

"Our partnership with Murray's allows us to build on their expertise as we expand our cheese offerings for our customers," said Jeff Burt, vp of deli bakery merchandising for Kroger.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The companies expect to begin offering Murray's Cheese in select Kroger stores in early 2008.
