Kroger to expand Marketplace concept
Cincinnati Kroger has purchased a 21-acre site in Harrison, Ohio, for a stand-alone Kroger Marketplace store with an adjacent gasoline fuel center, according to the Business Courier of Cincinnati.
The acquisition revives a plan to build a 100,000-plus-sq.-ft. superstore in Western Hamilton County that was first announced two years ago.
Kroger closed on the site May 29. It paid $3.3 million to the Dole Family Trust.
The location will take the place of an existing Kroger supermarket nearby.
