Kroger cuts hours at some 24-hour locations

12/30/2009

Cincinnati Ten 24-hour Kroger locations in Middle Tennessee will begin to close at night, effective next week, according to the Nashville Business Journal.

The move is a result of not having enough overnight sales to justify keeping them open, according to a Kroger spokeswoman. Hours may be extended in the future if traffic picks back up.

Earlier this month, Kroger reported a net loss of $874.9 million for the third quarter that ended Nov. 7, down from a $237.7 million profit in third quarter 2008.
