Kopp Drug selects Activant Eagle POS solution

8/30/2010

Livermore, Calif. Business management technology provider Activant Solutions said Monday that Kopp Drug has selected the Activant Eagle software platform to be its business management and point-of-sale solution.

"We are looking to increase our overall sales and profitability with the help of the Eagle system's advanced inventory controls,” said William Earnest, COO, Kopp Drug. “We plan to use the Activant Eagle solution to provide complete inventory visibility and control across our 10 stores."

The Eagle reporting and analytics tools are designed to give Kopp executives real-time insight into stock levels and aid in making better buying decisions. Kopp's clerks will also have improved inventory visibility and will be able to access and sell inventory from other Kopp store locations.

Kopp Drugs uses the QS-1 pharmacy management software solution to run its back-of-store prescription business. In selecting a pharmacy retail POS system, they wanted a solution that would readily integrate with the QS-1 software. Activant has already developed and implemented a data bridge to the QS-1 software.

Kopp Drug is an independent community pharmacy chain with 10 locations in central Pennsylvania.
