Kohl's stock jumps after analyst's apology
Shares of Kohl’s Corp. jumped on Thursday after an analyst’s doubts of the new Simply Vera by Vera Wang clothing line were refuted with an apology.
A.G. Edwards analyst Robert Buchanan initially believed that Kohl's new exclusive collection would falter and fail. Now, he says, it has been “checking briskly.” Kohl's stock increased on Thursday by 6.8% to $56.88.
The collection, which has already hit Kohl’s stores nationwide, features clothing, accessories and lingerie that range from $20 to $200. Like many other high-end designers before her, Vera Wang has created a collection that is accessible to consumers who want to spend little to look chic.
During mid-day trading, Kohl’s stock held at $56.22.
