Kohl’s ditching in-store cafes

4/8/2016

Many retailers are adding restaurants and even bars to enhance the shopping experience. Going forward, Kohl’s will not be one of them.

After a seven-month test, the retailer has decided to shutter the cafes it opened in its two of its stores in Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Business Journal reported.

"Kohl’s is committed to innovating and testing new ideas to put our customers first and deliver an easy, convenient shopping experience," said Jen Johnson, VP of corporate communications. "... Although Kohl’s received positive customer feedback, the pilots did not provide the business benefits needed to warrant further testing."
