Kohl's Closes Five Stores Due to Wildfires
Menomonee Falls, Wis., The wildfires in southern California have caused Kohl's Corp. to close five of its department stores there, according to the Business Journal.
Citing the stores' close proximity to wildfires, Kohl's closed stores in El Cajon, Poway and Santee and two stores in Chula Vista. None of the stores had caught fire as of Tuesday evening.
Kohl's entered southern California in 2003 with 28 stores spread out over five counties. The company has a distribution center in San Bernardino and had 79 stores in California as of earlier this year.
