Kmart to open walk-in flu clinics

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Kmart pharmacy announced that its walk-in flu clinics will open on Oct. 2 and will run through Nov. 13. Flu shots from the pharmacy will be available for $25 and pneumonia shots for $50 while supplies last.

Customers can call 1-800-822-8345 to find the date and time of a flu clinic at their closest Kmart pharmacy location.

"Flu season begins in November and can last until May. The Center for Disease Control says the single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each fall and Kmart wants to encourage our customers to protect themselves by offering over 900 pharmacist-based and 400 nurse-based clinics in pharmacy and non-pharmacy locations throughout the country," said vp of Kmart Pharmacy Mark Doerr, RPh.
