Kmart adds walk-in clinic

Rehoboth, Del. A Rehoboth Beach Kmart, in Delaware, said it is adding a walk-in clinic to provide residents and tourists with a convenient minor-medical treatment facility.

According to a report in The Daily Times, the new clinic will be run by a nearby medical center and will provide non-emergency care. The clinic will be open seven days a week, including evening hours.

The Beebe Health Center at Kmart represents the first attempt by both the Beebe Physician Network and Kmart in the concept of retail-based convenient-care centers.

The clinic will have two exam rooms and be located in the front of the store next to the existing pizza restaurant. It will be staffed with a receptionist and a nurse practitioner with a back-up, on-call physician.
