Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay, a luxurious 14,000-sq.-ft. bridal shop on the top floor of the Hudson’s Bay flagship and headquarters building in Toronto, took the top prize — Store of the Year — in the Association for Retail Environments 2015 Design Award.

Designed by Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) Store Planning, Kleinfeld is a spacious, airy, and contemporary showplace that elevates the product and experience beyond customer expectations. White-washed wood floors, mixed metal fixtures, contrasting details, residential-inspired furniture, and lux touches give the space a regal, elegant atmosphere. A soft color palette ensures that the wedding dress and detailing are the focus of attention.

Brides use the store as a lookbook, tagging styles before narrowing their choices and trying on dresses in 14 oversized fitting rooms. The uncluttered space provides ample space for twirling, avoiding rips in the dress but enabling the bride and her guests to get the full gown experience.

Kleinfeld was founded in 1941 and is the largest luxury bridal retailer in the world, with a 35,000-sq.-ft. flagship in New York City. The store is featured on the TLC reality TV show, “Say Yes To The Dress.”
