K2 beefs up e-sourcing team
PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. — K2 Sourcing has added former Walgreens purchasing and e-sourcing executive Dan Carlson to its e-sourcing team.
Carlson will be charged with helping to parse the company’s e-procurement applications and professional procurement services to its clients.
After working at IBM, in 1993 Dan became Walgreens director of corporate (indirect) purchasing. As part of his role leading the purchasing team, Dan instituted the use of e-sourcing applications not only for indirect purchasing, but also for goods and services across all company departments including merchandise and items for resale.
Carlson’s team of e-sourcing professionals assisted in more than 1,000 strategic e-sourcing and reverse auction events that resulted in significant reductions in expenses and cost of goods sold, and improvements in supplier performance.
K2 Sourcing enjoys a strong presence with retailers and is already well known as the service leader in the e-procurement market.
K2 Sourcing develops SaaS e-procurement and e-sourcing applications including vendor registration, reverse auction, eRFP, eRFI, eRFQ, eQuotes / eRfx and professional procurement consulting and contingent labor to companies.
