Jo-Ann Loses Two Finance Execs

Hudson, Ohio, Jo-Ann Stores Inc. announced the resignation of two key finance executives effective at the end of the month: Brian P. Carney, executive VP and CFO; and Valerie Gentile Sachs, executive VP, general counsel and secretary. The retailer said the two resignations were unrelated to each other.

While Jo-Ann seeks permanent replacements, the retailer’s finance team will be led by James C. Kerr, VP and controller, and Donald R. Tomoff, VP of finance and treasurer.

Sachs will join specialty chemicals-maker OM Group, based in Cleveland.
