Jo-Ann gains ownership of Joann.com

HUDSON, Ohio Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores announced today that it has acquired full ownership of the Web site Joann.com from IdeaForest.com, effective Nov. 5. With the completion of this merger agreement, Jo-Ann acquires the 62% of IdeaForest that it did not previously own.

The relaunched Joann.com site features an enhanced appearance, simplified navigation, an online gallery and a message board, according to the company.

“The completion of this merger agreement allows Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores to enhance our existing Web presence to better serve our customers,” said Darrell Webb, chairman and ceo of Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.
