Jewel-Osco Opens First 'Urban Fresh' Store

Chicago Jewel-Osco opened its first "Urban Fresh by Jewel" store in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. The 16,000-sq.-ft. concept store, which targets people on the go, offers a variety of pre-made meals and sandwiches, as well as desserts, fresh produce, meats and seafood.

Jewel operates 32 stores in Chicago and 183 in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana.
