Jessops implements Episys signage solution

Leicester, United Kingdom British photographic retailer Jessops has implemented a new signage solution from Episys.

The Retail Enterprise Suite signage solution has been introduced across all 210 Jessops stores to enable immediate price changes in the store environment and improve the customer experience.

According to the retailer, it needed to introduce a solution to replace its current standard ticketing control, maintenance and production systems, as well as to handle more specialist tickets and miscellaneous signage requirements.

Jessops said it wanted in-store printers that could produce eye-catching product signage as well as serve as a communications tool to reach out to customers more effectively.

“The stores didn’t have the ability to make immediate changes to labels, and this was impacting upon the customer experience within the store, as the latest product information was often unavailable,” said Brendan Marris, brand design and merchandising manager, Jessops.

The new system integrates with other systems used by Jessops to give flexibility and reduce costs for in-store signage with no constraints in terms of data structure.

“Going forward there will be a process of continual improvement. We are currently considering electronic signage as a natural progression from printed signs for some of our flagship stores,” said Marris.
