January comps miss 'Target'
MINNEAPOLIS Target today reported a comparable-store sales decline of 1.1% for the four weeks ended Feb. 2.
According to Bob Ulrich, chairman and ceo of Target, the company's January comps were "near the lower end of [the company's] planned range.
The company reported that net retail sales for the month of January were $4.1 billion, an increase of 5.4% over last year.
