Investment exec joins Macy's board
A Maryland real estate investing executive has been elected to Macy's Inc.'s board of directors.
Leslie Hale, executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of RLJ Lodging Trust, is Macy's 12th director.
"Leslie Hale is an accomplished executive with exceptional experience in a wide range of financial disciplines, including corporate finance, treasury, real estate and business development," Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren said. "She will be a tremendous asset to our board's deliberations as we develop strategies to propel our company's continued growth."
Hale was promoted to her current position in April 2013. She joined the trust after a career at GE Capital Corp.
Hale's appointment comes after Macy's announced a series of major operational and merchandising moves this month to accelerate its omnichannel approach.
