Industry vet to lead IDC retail research

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. Retail industry veteran, Scott Langdoc, has been named vp of research for IDC's forthcoming retail industry research and advisory services practice. Langdoc will provide the overall business vision and research direction for the new retail division of IDC.

Langdoc formerly served as cio of Raley’s, a $3 billion West Coast regional grocery and drug store chain, where he successfully led major point-of-sale and data warehousing deployments, and PDQuick, a multi-channel convenience store retailer. He most recently served as cto at Fujitsu Transaction Solutions and has held executive management roles leading AMR Research’s retail industry practice.
