Inaugural season a winner

The Minnesota Twins broke in Target Field and adjacent Target Plaza the right way during the facilities’ inaugural season. The professional baseball team has secured a spot in the playoffs by winning the American League Central division with one of the best records in baseball (92-63), and two days remaining in the regular season. Depending how well the Twins fare in the post season, Target could be looking at the equivalent of millions of dollars worth of media exposure as the Twins games at Target Field are broadcast to a national audience. The favorable media effect of a positive performance in the post-season would be magnified if the Twins make it to the World Series as that seven-game series is slated to begin Oct. 27 and end Nov. 4, assuming a game seven is necessary.
