Hunter to lead Stage Store e-commerce initiative

HOUSTON Stage Stores announced that Steven Hunter, SVP, CIO, has been promoted to EVP, CIO. The promotion is being made in conjunction with Hunter assuming responsibility for the company’s e-commerce initiative, which is in the early stage of development. The company said it is targeting full roll-out of its e-commerce platform in 2011.

Hunter joined Stage Stores in June 2008. Prior to joining Stage Stores, Hunter served as SVP IT for Belk and held positions of escalating leadership responsibility at Best Buy and Kmart.
