Humiditrol Dehumidification System From Lennox

Dallas, Lennox has made it easier to improve humidity control and reduce the spread of allergens using the Humiditrol dehumidification system. The system is now available as a field-installed accessory matched with three-phase T-Class and S-Class 3-ton to 5-ton R-410A refrigerant split systems. It is capable of improving space humidity levels and outperforming conventional dehumidifiers with one single, easy-to-use control device that also controls room temperature.

Based on the award-winning Humiditrol system originally developed for rooftop units, the new Humiditrol enhanced dehumidification accessory (EDA) allows for space dehumidification without overcooling. High humidity levels—rather than room temperature—activate the dehumidification cycle.

The Humiditrol EDA is a secondary coil installed downstream of the evaporator. The system is completed with the addition of Lennox’ three-phase T-Class and S-Class 3- to 5-ton R-410A refrigerant air conditioners and heat pumps, SignatureStat comfort control and a variable-speed air handler or furnace. The result is outstanding and efficient comfort control.
