Hudson Bay shakes up leadership
TORONTO — Hudson's Bay Company, owner of retailers Hudson's Bay, Home Outfitters and Lord & Taylor, has made changes to the company's executive structure.
Bonnie Brooks, president of Hudson's Bay Company, has been appointed the company’s vice chair. Liz Rodbell, EVP and chief merchant for Hudson's Bay Company, will become its president. Brooks and Rodbell will report to chairman and CEO Richard Baker.
"This new structure will continue to drive our long term growth strategy, as we build upon the company's momentum toward revitalizing its banners and product offerings, and strengthening the customer experience," said Baker.
In her new role, Brooks will act in an advisory capacity to Baker and the company's board of directors. She will continue to provide input into both the Hudson's Bay and Lord & Taylor businesses.
Rodbell was appointed EVP and chief merchant in February 2012. She led the merchant integration of the Lord & Taylor and Hudson's Bay banners and is credited by the company as successfully driving a repositioning of the buying group. She joined Lord & Taylor in 1985 and has held management positions of increasing responsibility.
