HP appoints new marketing vp

PALO ALTO, Calif. HP has announced the appointment of Ron Coughlin as senior vp of worldwide marketing for the company's imaging and printing group, effective July 23.

Coughlin will be based in San Diego and have responsibility for driving the group's marketing strategy, planning and execution on a global basis across all customer segments and the group's five business units. This includes responsibility for customer, market and strategic planning, marketing operations, worldwide sales, communications and development of go-to-market assets.

Coughlin comes to HP from PepsiCo, where he was most recently senior vp and chief marketing officer of the company's international beverage business.
