Home Depot spent $225,000 lobbying in Q4

3/22/2010

New York City The Home Depot spent $225,000 in the fourth quarter to lobby the federal government on legislation to curb organized retail crime, according to a disclosure report.

That is down less than 1% from the $225,750 that Home Depot spent in the same period a year earlier, and the same as what it spent in third quarter 2009. Home Depot also lobbied the federal government on legislation to curb metal theft, a mandate to collect federal taxes through a national retail sales tax, and other issues.

In the October-to-December period, Home Depot lobbied Congress and the White House Office of the President, the report said.
