Home Depot lowers HD Supply price: report
ATLANTA Home Depot has agreed to sell its HD supply business for the reduced price of $8.5 billion to Pro Acquisition Corp., an affiliate of Clayton Dubilier & Rice, Carlyle Group and Bain Capital, according to reports. This new price is about $1.8 billion less than the original sale price of about $10.3 billion announced in June.
Earlier this month, Home Depot reported in an SEC filing that it was in discussions with affliates of Bain Capital Partners, The Carlyle Group and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice that could lead to a reduction in the HD Supply price of $10.325 billion, which was first announced in June.
