Home Depot to Buy National Waterworks
Atlanta, The Home Depot agreed to buy water-system supplier National Waterworks Holdings Inc., following up its recent purchase of USABluebook, a catalog distributor to the water industry. Financial terms were not disclosed. National Waterworks distributes products used to build, repair and maintain water and waste-water transmission systems, and has a 14% share of the $11 billion market, according to Home Depot. The company, which booked $1.5 billion in 2004 sales, will operate as a unit of Home Depot Supply.
