Hibbett Sports quadruples profit in Q2

New York City Hibbett Sports reported Friday that it recorded a profit of $4 million in the quarter ended July 31, up from a profit of $1.1 million in the year-ago period.

Revenue rose 13.6% to $139.8 million. Same-store sales increased for the second straight time, up 11.9%, from the year-ago quarter.
