Hibbett names new CIO

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Hibbett Sports announced the promotion of Terry Mayfield, formerly the company’s director of information dystems, to VP and CIO, effective immediately.

Prior to joining Hibbett Sports, Mayfield had spent the last 30 years in various IT roles. His most recent was as a VP at Source Medical Solutions.

Commenting on the announcement, Mickey Newsome, chairman and CEO, said, “We are fortunate to have someone with Terry’s vast experience as a part of our management team. We believe strongly that continued investments in our systems area will be vital to our future growth and profitability. It is our goal to be recognized in our industry as a leader in this area, and we believe that with Terry’s leadership we can achieve that goal.”
