Hhgregg 3Q Profit Up 13%

Indianapolis Hhgregg Inc. said Thursday fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 13%. Profit for the quarter ended Dec. 31 rose to $17.1 million from $15.1 million last year.

Revenue increased 7% to $416.1 million from $390.4 million last year.

Meanwhile, same-store sales fell 13.2%.

The company said results were boosted by better buying opportunities in several merchandise categories; primarily the video segment.
