Hewlett-Packard to Hire NCR Chief Exec

Palo Alto, Calif., Hewlett-Packard Co. has picked NCR Corp.’s Mark Hurd to be its next CEO, according to a report in today’s Wall Street Journal.

Hurd has been NCR’s CEO since February 2003. He is expected to succeed Carly Fiorina, who was ousted as Hewlett-Packard’s CEO last month over a disagreement with the board of directors on how the company should be structured.
