Hershey names community relations vp
HERSHEY, Pa. The Hershey Company has named James George vp of community relations. He will be responsible for the company's community involvement, both locally and internationally, and will report to John Long, vp of corporate social responsibility.
Prior to his new position, George was vp of global packaging, for The Hershey Company. He joined the company in 1984 and has held leadership positions in sales and packaging. He was named vp of packaging in 2004, and assumed global responsibilities in 2006.
"Hershey's commitment to the community and our relationship with Milton Hershey School are what make our company unique," George said. "I am extremely proud to help lead the effort to continue Hershey's legacy. I look forward to building new partnerships and strengthening relationships with a broad range of community stakeholders. We will particularly focus on continuing to deepen the sense of connection between Milton Hershey School and The Hershey Company as we continue to fulfill Milton Hershey's vision."
