Helmkamp joins Whirlpool as refrigeration vp

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. Whirlpool has announced that Katrina Helmkamp has joined the company as vp of refrigeration. Helmkamp will report to Steve Paddock, senior vp of global product business.

Helmkamp will have overall accountability for the global refrigeration product business, including measures of operating profit, market share, and return on invested capital. She also will lead the global strategic direction and financial outcomes of the category.

Helmkamp joins Whirlpool from The ServiceMaster Company in Memphis, Tenn., where she was group president for the company's $2.5 billion branch-based businesses, which includes: Terminix, TruGreen Lawn Care and TruGreen LandCare. Previously, she was president of Terminix International. Before joining ServiceMaster, Helmkamp held a variety of leadership positions within The Boston Consulting Group, including vp and director of the Chicago office.
