Heckmann joins Jarden's board of directors

RYE, N.Y. Jarden Corp. has announced that Richard Heckmann, the chairman and ceo of Heckmann Corp. and the former executive chairman of K2 Inc., has been appointed to the company's board of directors in accordance with the provisions of the merger between Jarden and K2., which was completed on Aug. 8.

Heckmann has been the chairman and ceo of Heckmann Corp. since May. From February to August Heckmann was the executive chairman of K2, and from April 2000 to August he was the chairman of the board of directors of K2. Previously, he served as the ceo of K2 from October 2002 through February.
