Harris Teeter Launches Drug Discounts

Mathews, N.C. Harris Teeter is now offering customers a 90-day supply of more than 300 generic prescription drugs for $9.99.

Customers must pay $4.95 to join the company’s generic-prescription savings club for one year. The plan doesn’t apply if a customer’s prescription is covered by insurance.

Other chain retailers with pharmacies, including Wal-Mart Stores and Target Corp., have offered similar discounts on generic medicines.
