Haier to sponsor researcher Maruya

NEW YORK Haier America announced that it is supporting the work of researcher Richard Maruya, an inventor of a new refrigerant that does not contribute to global warming.

“Haier is committed to supporting research for environmentally friendly technology,” said Steve Milz, vp of engineering and product management for major appliances at Haier. “By working with innovators like Maruya, we hope to continue to be a leader in creating and providing green products for today’s earth-minded consumer.”
