Haier earns 'Save Money. Live Better.' award

NEW YORK Haier America has been selected by Wal-Mart Stores as one of its Vendors of the Year for 2008 and presented with the “Save Money. Live Better” award. Haier America supplies Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart.com with a wide range of appliances and devices, including washers and dryers, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, room air conditioners and the ibiza Rhapsody personal media player.

Haier America ceo Michael Jemal was presented the award at an annual supplier summit held in Bentonville, Ark.

“Everyone at Haier is proud to receive such a distinguished honor from Wal-Mart,” said Jemal. “It takes a tremendous amount of hard work from all areas of the company to earn an award of this magnitude and we will continue to keep to the motto Save Money and Live Better.”
