Haier America adds appliance execs
Three executives were named to new roles at leading appliance and consumer electronics manufacturer Haier America.
Haier America, part of the $29 billion Haier Group, named Gina Copeland SVP of air quality, Sanjay Gupta VP of product platform development for major appliances and Paul Riley as VP of sales and marketing for major appliances.
Copleland joins Haier from Mitsubishi Electric where she most recently held the position of senior directors of strategy and planning for the company’s heating and cooling division. In her new role, she will be responsible for Haier’s air quality business in the Americas. She holds a bachelor of science in mathematics/physics from Spelman College, a master of science in industrial engineering from Wayne State University and a master of business administration from the University of Michigan.
Gupta will assume the role of product strategy officer for major appliances and be accountable for the development of the strategic plan and creation of product roadmaps for all appliance categories. An industry veteran, Gupta’s blend of strategy and operations expertise has led to increasing levels of leadership throughout his career including the strategic planning, product innovation and business development activities for Whirlpool’s global laundry appliances.
Riley joins Haier after spending 15 years with GE where he most recently served as senior brand and product line marketing manager. In his new role, Riley will serve as the sales and marketing lead for major appliances to execute the go to market strategies for all categories.
