Grocery group adds sales and tech talent
Jeff Zoss and Scott Simerlein have joined The Grocery Shopping Network, Inc., a provider of digital shopper planning and marketing tools for grocery retailers, consumer packaged goods companies and shoppers.
The Minneapolis-based company named Zoss vp of national sales and Simerlein vp of technology and development. Prior to GSN, Zoss led the opening of ValueClick’s Minneapolis office, where he provided display, video and lead generation solutions to agencies and direct clients in Minneapolis and the Midwest. He also held executive sales positions at MyPoints, the North American Media Group and QInteractive.
“We are very excited to bring Jeff on board to assist with our sales strategy,” said Robert Krajeski, president of GSN. “His background and expertise are a great fit for GSN and will assist us in achieving our next milestone.”
Simerlein joins GSN after serving as VP of IS & Process Improvement at the North American Membership Group. Earlier in his career, Simerlein served in various leadership positions in the U.S. Air Force where he held development, systems and project management related positions. At GSN he will lead efforts to provide strategic and tactical guidance for development, client service, client operations, systems, database, analytics, and project management.
“We are very pleased to have Scott join our organization. He is a perfect fit for the GSN culture and his industry experience, tireless work ethic, and exceptional reputation for customer service are invaluable to our team,” Krajeski said. “We have already accomplished many things in the short amount of time Scott has been with us, and the exciting thing is that we’ve just begun.”
GSN offers digital shopper planning and marketing tools for grocery retailers, CPG companies and shoppers. The firm’s goal is to provide a more valuable digital planning tool for grocery shoppers that will improve their shopping experience whether online or in-stores.
