Gordmans, Oracle team toward store growth

6/25/2013

Omaha, Neb. - Midwestern department store retailer Gordmans Stores, which recently announced plans to expand its store base nearly 40% over a three-year period, said it will move forward with the Oracle Retail platform as a means to support the aggressive growth initiative.

The Oracle solution set utilized by Gordmans included core merchandising foundation, inventory management, pricing, retail financials, warehouse receiving and sales auditing. To guide the technology transformation, Gordmans chose Oracle Partner OLR as its systems integration and support partner. OLR’s consultants worked with Gordmans internal IT team to clearly map system requirements and tailor a solution to support current needs and the vision for the future.

According to Richard Heyman, CIO at Gordmans, OLR provided tools, collateral and templates to support a smooth and efficient transition. The engagement spanned Gordmans’ entire initiative, from initial analysis and project scoping to post go-live transition support. As part of its ongoing support, OLR provides application resources that enable the retailer to focus on key strategic initiatives.
