Gordmans deploys Sourcefire network security protection system
Columbia, Md. Cybersecurity solution provider Sourcefire said Wednesday that Omaha, Neb.-based apparel and home-decor retailer Gordmans Stores is implementing the Sourcefire IPS system to deliver the increased network visibility necessary to help enforce internal policies, mitigate threats and proactively address potential network issues.
Sourcefire also provides Gordmans with improved manageability over its previous IPS, enabling the company to distribute new configurations and rules to the sensors in a timely and efficient manner. This allows Gordmans to easily update existing IPS sensors and add new ones, as its environment evolves and grows.
“Having recently become a publicly traded company, Gordmans is heavily focused on utilizing security solutions that offer leading protection, while reducing our operational overhead,” said Derek Pecka, information security manager at Gordmans Stores. “Sourcefire has cut our IPS management and monitoring tasks in half and delivers the intelligence needed to precisely tune our protection and enforce policies.”
