Gilt adds Adrianne Shapira to board
Online retailer Gilt has added Adrianne Shapira to the company's board of directors.
Shapira has served as the CFO of David Yurman, a fine jewelry luxury brand, since 2012. She is a member of the executive committee that looks to build upon David Yurman's successes by capitalizing on future channel, category and geographic growth.
Prior to joining David Yurman, Shapira had a 13-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where she was managing director in global investment research covering the broadlines retail sector. She was the lead equity analyst covering department stores, discounters, luxury and online.
"Adrianne's wealth of experience in both traditional retail and e-commerce makes her a terrific fit for our board," said Kevin Ryan, founder and chairman, Gilt. "Her perspective and leadership at a luxury brand will be a great asset to Gilt and we look forward to her contributions."
"Gilt's compelling business model, commitment to customer engagement and strong management team makes for a powerful combination — one that I am thrilled to be part of," added Shapira.
