Giant Eagle to test Internet coupon service
PITTSBURGH, Pa. Giant Eagle is testing an Internet-based coupon service in its Cleveland, Ohio market, according to reports.
The new service, called ‘e-Offers’, will allow shoppers to download coupons from Gianteagle.com straight to their Advantage loyalty card for automatic redemption at the checkout.
E-Offers are not designed to replace traditional coupons but to make it more convenient for shoppers who do not wish to clip coupons, but rather, is a service, which is expected to eventually feature 100 coupons. In the interim, the service offers 16 services.
The service is offered through a partnership with SmartSource.
Giant Eagle is an American supermarket chain with stores located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland.
