GE names head of consumer lighting
EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — GE Lighting has named John Strainic, a leader with a as head of the business’s North America Consumer Lighting operation. In this newly created role, Strainic will be responsible for driving growth for GE Lighting’s North America consumer business.

His passion and competitiveness will help retail customers move with greater agility as they push to educate consumers and drive up sales in a lighting aisle that’s increasingly difficult to navigate.”
Strainic has been general manager of global lighting product management since April 2007. In this role he was responsible for all global lighting strategy, including product development and capacity planning.
Strainic is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
