Gander Mtn. sets sights on Rogers, Minn.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Leading firearms retailer Gander Mountain will open the state’s first dedicated Gander Mtn. Firearms Super Center in Rogers, Minn., by the end of April. It will be the retailer’s 12th store in the state.

Remodeling and construction activity is underway on an existing 30,000-sq.-ft. facility in Rogers. The Gander Mtn. Firearms Super Center is a new concept, which will provide a specialty retail outlet focused specifically on fulfilling the needs of firearms enthusiasts, featuring thousands of new and used firearms of all kinds, as well as a selection of firearms accessories, specialty apparel, ammunition and security.

Gander Mtn. Firearms Super Center will buy and sell a huge selection of used firearms and is staffed by firearms specialists on duty to give shoppers more one-on-one service, even as gun control remains a hot-button issue that continues polarizing the nation and dominating headlines.

Gander Mountain recently launched a campaign to stress firearms responsibility via a call to action: “With Rights Comes Responsibility; Secure Your Firearms.” Gander Mountain is encouraging firearms owners to take a responsibility pledge on their website and to use hashtag #responsibilitypledge in social media to raise awareness and encourage accountability on the subject of firearms ownership.
