Residents of Texas and Oklahoma will have two more places to buy guns this month when new Gander Mountain Company stores open with huge firearms departments.
Gander Mountain will open two new locations in Texas and Oklahoma on March 12. The new store in Killeen continues the brand's major expansion into the Texas market and will be the 20th store in the state. The new location in Tulsa marks Gander Mountain's entry into Oklahoma and the 27th state overall.
"These two stores are being added to our rapidly growing national network as part of our aggressive growth strategy," said Mike Owens, president and COO for Gander Mountain. "The new locations give more people the opportunity to experience firsthand our top-quality gear and knowledgeable service at great prices."
Killeen's 52,000-square-foot space and Tulsa's 45,600-square-foot space reflect Gander Mountain's new store prototype including innovative interior elements, displays and fixtures. Gander Mountain's newest stores will feature one of the largest selections of new and used firearms in Texas and Oklahoma, together with the best selection of gear and accessories for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and archery.
The Killeen and Tulsa locations will feature an on-site Gander Mountain Firearms Super Center. The on-site Gander Mountain Firearms Super Center mission is to provide responsible citizens the highest quality solutions for their firearms needs, including safety, security, education and training. Gander Mountain has launched a campaign to emphasize personal firearms responsibility via a call to action: "With Rights Comes Responsibility; Secure Your Firearms." This effort is designed to help keep firearms from getting into the hands of the underage, untrained and unauthorized. Gander Mountain is encouraging firearms owners to take a responsibility pledge.
Gander Mountain Company has 156 conveniently-located outdoor lifestyle stores in 27 states.
