GameStop updates app with enhanced personalization and other features

Grapevine, Texas -- GameStop announced the first in a series of updates to its GameStop app on mobile devices, and a chance for users who download the new app to win 1,000,000 PowerUp Rewards points.



“With more than 50% of our online traffic coming from mobile devices, our aim is to make the digital experience even easier and more rewarding for our customers,” said Jason Allen, VP of multichannel operations at GameStop. “The GameStop app is an important next step in the digital innovation we drive at GameStop, delivering unique value and offering customers choice and convenience.”



The new app features:



• A new and improved user interface.



• A Trade Center that enables users to receive trade price estimates for their games and electronics before they head to the store.



• Expanded game library capabilities that enable users to manage their online library of games, as well as list games they want from within the app.



• Enhanced “Pick up at Store” functionality - easily check product availability and hold an item at a store for pick up at a later time.



• Quick access to PowerUp Rewards account information as well as browsing and purchasing capabilities of the online PowerUp Rewards catalog within the app.



• Enhanced account management, including viewing in-store offers, accessing digital purchases, and managing console and store preferences.



• Robust content, videos and images of popular games and electronics.



• Store locator capabilities while on the go, allowing customers to search for the nearest GameStop store.
