GameStop profit up 4%

Grapevine, Texas GameStop Corp. reported Thursday that its second-quarter net income rose to $40.3 million, compared with net income of $38.7 million in the year-ago period.

The video game retailer's revenue rose 3% to $1.8 billion. Wall Street analysts expected revenue of $1.8 billion.
