Fresh Produce clothing names a new COO
Women’s sportswear and apparel retailer Fresh Produce has appointed Dorothy Sadd as its COO, the company announced Thursday. The 25-year industry veteran will oversee growing the 30-year-old brand’s footprint, using her expertise in several different facets of clothing production and inventory management.
“Appointing Dorothy as our new COO was an easy decision for all of us,” Fresh Produce founder and chief brand officer, Mary Ellen Vernon, said. “Not only does she possess the right background and knowledge needed to help our business reach its full potential, she also has a deep understanding of what Fresh Produce is all about as an established leader in the apparel business and a Fresh Produce enthusiast.”
Sadd’s experience at companies like Ann Taylor, Talbots and Ralph Lauren, and her time at a retail and consumer products consulting firm will allow her to oversee all operations, from choosing fabric to forecasting.
“I’m thrilled to join a company and brand that I know and appreciate for its carefree, effortless lifestyle,” Sadd said. “Everyone on the senior management team Fresh Produce has assembled comes with an impressive background and skill set, but also a set of very important common values that will help us achieve great things together. I see great potential.”
